Welcome to our first every By The Cute and Girly blog hop!! It's our 2nd birthday and we are celebrating in style with a special challenge and blog hop!
As well as loads of prizes on the challenge blog, each design team member also has a prize on their blog from their featured sponsor, so lots of chances to win some great prizes!! :)
If you have came from Kate's blog then you are on the right track, if not, you need to start at Lora's blog.
Ok so here's what you have to do for a chance to win these prizes-
1. Enter the challenge at By The Cute and Girly as you normally would. The theme this month is "Anything Goes" and remember our challenge is for any type of crafts from papercrafts to baking, so you really can enter with anything you like. This month we are limiting the entries to 1 per person since it's anything goes.
2. Do the hop, leave a comment on each of the dt blogs for a chance to win the prize on their blog.
3. Each design team member has a letter of the alphabet on their blog that you need to collect. When you are finished the hop and have collected all the letters, re-assembled them, email Lora with the word you have made (you will find her email address and instructions on the challenge blog). Please DO NOT leave a comment with the word you have made, you must email Lora with it.
4. HAVE FUN!!
As the owner of Little Snippets Etsy shop I am sponsoring this section of the blog hop and I have a lovely embellishment kit to give away. Its should make between 3 to 6 cards but would be ideal for making a summer-themed Mini Album.
It contains 6 Pink Paislee 6 x 6 papers, 2 crochet doileys, 5 embroidered butterflies, 6 flower motifs, 3 ribbon flowers, 3 bows with pearls, 3 deco stick pins, and finally, a selection of buttons.
Leave a comment on this post for a chance to win.
My makes for October are all altered projects using embellishments from my Etsy shop:
With Halloween in mind I have decorated a plain white candle with the lace bats from my Etsy shop and some crochet trim. The bats were "ironed" into the candle using the tip of my iron. With safety in mind I have removed some of the wax from the top of the candle and inserted a tea light so that you have a permanent candle. Of course you could use a battery tea-light instead of the wax ones and that would be even safer! I am going to put the pattern for the beaded trim on my crochet blog HERE if anyone is interested...
Using the Gingerbread man and Hello Kitty-style motifs from my Etsy shop I have sewn broch pins on to felt, glued them on to the motifs and cut carefully around the edges and Hey Presto a cute brooch!

Earring Display Frame
A wooden photo frame distressed and painted with first a layer of blue paint then a layer of white. Embellishments including flowers from a headband, Utee coated flowers from paper, die cut flourishes. hand made flower from scraps of lace, the embroidered Dress Form from HERE (sold in packs of 3), and 1 of my Vintage Butterflies. The mesh backing that the earrings hang off comes from Halfords and is used for car repairs but you could use the mesh from a wire wastepaper bin (cheap) or the fancy radiator cover mesh (expensive!!).
I have hand sewn the motifs on to the t-shirts. When the garments are worn out/lost their shape you can easily remove the motifs and re-use them! I've made these samples just to reply to all those people who have said that my Snippets are "too good to use!". If you've bought some go on use them - you're worth it!
For more ideas and inspiration re using my Snippets please visit my DT's blogs - Dianne, Lora, and Aideen and see their beautiful cards and other creations.....
The letter you need from me is A and the next stop on the hop is Ayelet
Here's a list of the hop order in case you get lost along the way.
